NEW DELHI, June 3, 2026: The NTA has announced that candidates affected by the technical glitch during the CUET -UG 2026 examination held on May 30 will be given another opportunity to appear for the test. The re-examination is scheduled to take place on June 6 and June 7. According to official information, 3,765 candidates were impacted by the disruption and will be eligible for the special re-test.
The technical issue delayed the commencement of the first shift at several examination centres, causing inconvenience and uncertainty among students. Following complaints from candidates and reports from examination centres, the NTA reviewed the situation and decided to conduct a one-time re-examination to ensure fairness in the admission process.
Officials stated that revised admit cards have been released for the affected candidates and can be downloaded through the official CUET portal. The agency has advised students to carefully check their updated examination details and report to their designated centres as per the revised schedule.
Education experts have welcomed the decision, emphasizing that prompt corrective action is necessary to maintain the integrity of national-level entrance examinations. The CUET-UG serves as a gateway for admission to undergraduate programmes in central, state, and participating universities across India.
