Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore during a public event in Pachpadra, Rajasthan, on Saturday. The ceremony included the dedication of the Pachpadra refinery and announcements related to transport, water supply, employment, and environmental initiatives.
During his address, Modi described Rajasthan as a key pillar of India's development and said the government's focus is on completing projects on schedule rather than leaving them unfinished. He alleged that political delays had significantly increased the cost of the Pachpadra refinery, claiming it rose from around ₹37,000 crore to nearly ₹80,000 crore after years of delays.
The Prime Minister said the refinery is expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen India's energy infrastructure. He also announced the inauguration of the new Jodhpur airport terminal, the expansion of Jaipur Metro, the launch of a new phase of the regional UDAN aviation scheme, and progress on a water supply project intended to benefit the Shekhawati region.
Addressing recent geopolitical tensions and disruptions in global energy markets, Modi stated that India's diplomatic efforts and diversification of fuel imports helped the country avoid major shortages. He said India expanded its network of energy suppliers from roughly 25–26 countries to more than 40 during the crisis and emphasized that reducing fuel taxes and supporting oil companies helped limit the burden on consumers.
The Prime Minister also criticized what he described as misinformation and political attempts to create fear during the energy crisis, asserting that fuel supplies remained largely stable across the country despite global disruptions.

In addition to infrastructure announcements, Modi said approximately 54,000 appointment letters had been issued to newly selected government employees in Rajasthan. He concluded the event by participating in the "One Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, planting a Khejri sapling and stressing the importance of balancing economic growth with environmental conservation.
