MOUNT ABU: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant reached the Brahma Kumaris' Gyan Sarovar Academy in Mount Abu on Friday evening, where he received a traditional welcome from district officials and senior members of the spiritual organization.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister landed at Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur before traveling by road to Mount Abu. Upon his arrival at the academy, he was welcomed by Sirohi District Collector Rohitashwa Singh Tomar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Anshu Priya, and senior Brahma Kumaris officials, including Additional Secretary Dr. Pratap Middha, BK Usha, and BK Sapna. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was also presented by the police.
During his visit, Dr. Sawant met Rajyogini Sudesh Didi, Joint Chief Administrator of the Brahma Kumaris, to discuss the organization's spiritual, educational, and social initiatives. Officials also briefed him on the schedule and objectives of the upcoming conference.
On Saturday, the Goa Chief Minister will formally inaugurate the three-day Politicians' Conference, which is expected to host nearly 400 Members of Parliament, MLAs, elected representatives, political office-bearers, and public leaders from across the country.
The conference will focus on promoting ethical governance, spiritual leadership, moral values in politics, public service, and responsible administration. Organizers say the event aims to encourage value-based leadership while strengthening the commitment of public representatives toward transparent and people-centric governance.
Following the inauguration and meetings with senior Brahma Kumaris officials, Dr. Sawant is scheduled to return to Udaipur by road on Saturday afternoon before departing for Mumbai. Security arrangements have been intensified around the Gyan Sarovar campus and nearby areas throughout the visit.
