Secretary Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Shuchi Tyagi said that today, tourists no longer want to limit themselves to visiting traditional tourist destinations; instead, they are increasingly seeking authentic and experience-based journeys. Rajasthan has immense potential for wedding, rural, wildlife, eco-tourism, wellness, adventure, spiritual, monsoon and MICE tourism. Our endeavour is to develop Rajasthan as a year-round tourism destination while promoting lesser-known destinations, new tourism circuits and local experiences. This will help increase tourists’ length of stay and ensure that the benefits of tourism reach different regions of the state, local communities, artisans, entrepreneurs, homestay operators, guides and other stakeholders.”

Commissioner, Rajasthan Tourism, Rukmani Riar said that the sixth edition of RDTM aims to strengthen domestic tourism and create more business opportunities for Rajasthan’s tourism stakeholders, particularly amid the current geopolitical situation. She highlighted the new initiative of taking RDTM to the districts to showcase lesser-known destinations and local tourism products. She added that delegates are being introduced to Rajasthan’s diverse offerings through experiences showcasing its architecture at Amer Fort, sporting heritage through polo, and handicrafts through Rajeevika artisans.

President, FHTR, Surendra Singh Shahpura said, “RDTM has now become a celebration of the tourism sector. Just as FHTR has established RDTM as a strong platform, it has now also been entrusted with the responsibility of organising the first Marwar Travel Mart. This year, wedding planners from across the country have also been invited to the mart for the first time. New opportunities are emerging for the wedding and MICE industries in Rajasthan. The tourism industry also played an important role in Rising Rajasthan. In line with Rajasthan’s tourism policy, efforts are being made to connect rural areas with tourism as well, thereby creating greater opportunities for investment and employment.”

With the opening of the exhibition, pre-scheduled B2B meetings between registered buyers and sellers are being conducted over the two days. These meetings are being held at the booths of registered sellers, where buyers are learning about various tourism and hospitality products and services across Rajasthan and discussing potential business opportunities. Recognised as one of Rajasthan’s leading B2B tourism and hospitality marts, RDTM has brought together key stakeholders from the travel and tourism sector on a common platform. These include hoteliers, institutions offering luxury and experiential tourism services, travel agents, tour operators, wedding planners, event managers, airlines, tourism boards, policymakers, media representatives and social media influencers.

This year, around 300 travel agents from across the country and more than 700 properties and tour companies from Rajasthan are participating across nearly 160 pavilions. The exhibition is showcasing Rajasthan’s tourism destinations, hospitality services and experiential tourism products to leading buyers from across the country. For the first time, the mart has also provided a platform to the events and wedding industry, creating an opportunity to promote the art, culture, heritage and cuisine of lesser-known regions of Rajasthan on a wider scale.

It is to be noted that Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart 2026 is being organised by the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, and will continue until 19 September 2026. RDTM has received support from several tourism and hospitality associations, including the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), and Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), along with several other reputed national tourism organisations.

This year, CREDAI Tourism Wing has also joined the event, contributing to initiatives aimed at supporting the development of tourism. The mart aims to showcase the diversity of Rajasthan’s tourism and hospitality sector to audiences across the country while creating new business opportunities for stakeholders in the industry.
