The disruption interrupted proceedings and added to growing public scrutiny over the state's power infrastructure. The latest incident comes only weeks after another widely discussed outage during Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's press conference at the BJP state headquarters, where electricity failed multiple times, prompting the Rajasthan government to order an official inquiry and disciplinary action against power department personnel.
Officials reportedly restored power after a short interruption, allowing the programme to continue. While no injuries or major damage were reported, the repeated outages at high-profile government events have fueled debate about grid reliability, maintenance standards, and backup power preparedness.
