Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 183 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers ahead of the upcoming civic elections. The changes include the transfer of Pinky Meena, whose name had earlier drawn public attention in connection with a bribery case, as well as the transfer of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Yogesh Kumar Srivastava.
The large-scale movement of RAS officers comes at a politically significant time, with local-body elections approaching and the state administration preparing for increased electoral and governance responsibilities.
Pinky Meena Transferred Again
Pinky Meena has once again been moved in the latest reshuffle. She had become widely known after being named in a bribery-related case, which brought considerable public and media scrutiny to her administrative career.
Her latest transfer places her among a large group of RAS officers whose postings have been changed as part of the government's broader administrative exercise. The reshuffle highlights the continuing movement of officers across key field and administrative positions.
CM's OSD Yogesh Srivastava Also Moved
The government has also transferred Yogesh Kumar Srivastava, who has served as an OSD to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Srivastava, a 2008-batch RAS officer, was appointed OSD to the Chief Minister in December 2023.
His transfer is one of the more notable changes in the latest order because of his position within the Chief Minister's Office.
