A political demonstration organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Jaipur turned chaotic on Monday after party founder Abhijeet Deepke was allegedly assaulted by two individuals while being carried by supporters toward the Shaheed Smarak protest venue.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred amid a large gathering of party workers and supporters participating in what organizers described as a peaceful demonstration. The attackers reportedly approached Deepke through the crowd and struck him before security personnel and supporters intervened.
Despite the incident, Deepke later released a video statement on social media platform X, asserting that the demonstration had been a success and had drawn significant public participation.
"The movement is growing stronger every day, and more people are joining our cause," Deepke said in the video. He characterized the assault as an effort to intimidate him and distract the organization from its core agenda.
Deepke maintained that such actions would not deter him or his supporters. "Even if they slap me once or ten times, we will continue to speak out," he said, reaffirming his commitment to the party's objectives and ongoing campaigns.
Authorities have not yet released detailed information regarding the identities of the alleged attackers or whether arrests have been made. An investigation into the incident is expected.
The episode has sparked discussion across social media, with supporters condemning the violence and calling for enhanced security at public political events.
As the situation develops, CJP leaders insist their campaign will proceed as planned, emphasizing that political disagreements should be addressed through democratic debate rather than physical confrontation.
