New Delhi — The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports will hold critical discussions on June 1 and 2 regarding the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and irregularities linked to the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.

According to official notices issued through the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the panel has summoned senior officials including representatives from the Union Education Ministry, CBSE, and the National Testing Agency (NTA). The committee is also expected to examine concerns over the implementation of the three-language formula in Classes 9 and 10.

The review comes amid nationwide outrage over alleged leaks in the NEET-UG examination process and accusations of security vulnerabilities in CBSE’s digital evaluation platform. Recent reports suggested that flaws in the OSM portal may have exposed sensitive Class 12 assessment data to potential manipulation risks.

The NEET controversy has intensified after multiple arrests and ongoing investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). NTA officials previously informed the parliamentary panel that the leak did not originate from the agency’s internal systems, though lawmakers demanded stronger accountability and systemic reforms.

Political reactions have also escalated, with opposition leaders demanding accountability from the Education Ministry and calling for urgent reforms to restore public trust in India’s examination system.
