The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a clarification regarding the implementation of its three-language policy and announced special relaxations for students currently enrolled in Classes 7 to 10. The decision is aimed at helping students adapt to the revised language requirements without affecting their ongoing academic progress.
According to the board, the current batch of Class 10 students will continue under the existing provisions, ensuring that they are not disadvantaged by the policy changes. Similar flexibility has also been extended to students in Classes 7, 8, and 9 during the transition period.
CBSE emphasized that the revised language policy is being implemented in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, while keeping students' interests and practical concerns in mind. Schools have been advised to guide students and parents about the changes and ensure a smooth implementation process.
The board stated that the transitional relaxations are temporary and are designed to minimize academic disruption as schools gradually adopt the updated language framework.
