The Rajasthan Congress is set to undertake one of its biggest organizational restructuring exercises in recent years as the party prepares for upcoming municipal and panchayat elections.
According to party sources, the current state executive committee—expanded over multiple phases to include more than 400 office bearers—is likely to be reduced to fewer than 200 members. The move is aimed at creating a more efficient, active, and performance-oriented organization capable of responding quickly to political challenges.

Sources indicate that Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Govind Singh Dotasra recently held discussions with senior party leaders in New Delhi, including the Congress organization's national leadership, regarding the proposed changes. Performance reports and organizational activity are reportedly being reviewed before the final list is approved.
The new executive committee is expected to strike a balance between experienced leaders, sitting legislators, Members of Parliament, former MPs, young leaders, and dedicated grassroots workers. Party strategists believe that a leaner leadership structure will improve coordination and strengthen election preparedness.
This will be the third restructuring of the state executive since Dotasra assumed charge as PCC president. An initial compact committee was formed in 2020, followed by significant expansions during the 2022 period and the Assembly and Lok Sabha election campaigns.
Alongside the organizational revamp, the Rajasthan Congress is also investing heavily in a digital outreach strategy. The party says it is building a statewide network of digitally connected workers to strengthen its presence on social media, counter misinformation, and communicate party policies directly to voters. Training programs are reportedly being organized to equip booth-level workers with digital campaign skills ahead of the next electoral contests.
