India's highest civilian honours took center stage on Monday as President Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Awards 2026 during a grand Civil Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Veteran film icon Dharmendra was posthumously awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honour, in recognition of his decades-long contribution to Indian cinema and culture.

Business leader Uday Kotak received recognition for his transformative role in India's financial sector, while Harmanpreet Kaur was honoured for her achievements and influence in Indian women's cricket.
