Jaipur, June 21, 2026: On the occasion of Father's Day, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari paid a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh, by sharing a rare black-and-white childhood photograph on social media.

Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh, the last titular Maharaja of Jaipur, was a distinguished officer of the Indian Army's Parachute Regiment. He earned the prestigious Maha Vir Chakra, India's second-highest wartime gallantry award, for his exceptional leadership and courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Reflecting on his influence, Diya Kumari wrote that his example of leadership, sacrifice, and devotion to the nation remains a constant source of inspiration. She reaffirmed her commitment to public welfare and state development by following the ideals set by her father.
